Upon the arrival of our new priest Father ST Sutton, he initiated this brand new ministry called "Saturday Cleaners." This is a group of women and yes even men, who come to sweep, mop, vacuum, dust and yes even wash windows each and every Saturday. Father, besides being a little "OCD" is a firm believer that "Cleanliness is next to Godliness."
This faithful group of people that started with only two volunteers has now grown to over 15. It is a time to not only clean God's House, but to become more acquainted with members of our parish family.
We make sure the lines are straight in the carpeting after vacuuming the aisles, we take the gum, candy, tissue, cereal and whatever our loving community has left behind during the weekend, of course we always clean our brooms, mops and even wipe down our vacuums before we put them away.
If you might be interested in joining this "eclectic" crowd of people dedicated to helping each other keeping the Lord's House, their own house of Worship clean, come and join us any Saturday at 8:00am. With the help of many, the work is less and quickly accomplished. Usually, everything is completed before 9:00am.
Come and be part of this wonderful new ministry where "All Are Welcome" and those who clean well are welcomed twice!
